White porcelain

11 Feb

Suntory Museum of Art presents “300 years of Meissen” in Roppongi Midtown from 8 Janurary to 6 March 2011.

The western country was addicted to Chinese and Japanese white porcelian in 17 century.

It became their status to develop the same skills of making dishes.

The caption wrote the paintings on china were influenced by Chinese and Japanese art.  Though it was called “Indian textiles” because the dishes were sold through the East India Company.

The two object I draw is just the white porcelain, not Meissen.
